I built Ayah Health because I kept seeing the same thing happen in the emergency room. Patients with a straightforward, non-emergent problem, a UTI, a medication refill, a rash that needed a second opinion, were showing up to the ER simply because it was the only door that was open. I wanted to build a better and cheaper option so nobody was stuck with a bill over $1000. That original idea started as Ayah Health, on online Urgent Care and Telehealth service, and soon it's set to branch into mmore than I originally planned. I want to give you a look at what's coming next.
Two things are in active development right now, both aimed at the same goal: better, more personal care, delivered with less friction. I'm sharing them here before they launch so you know what to expect and why I built them the way I did.
For my Patients: Wellness Program
The first thing I'm building addresses a different problem. Ayah Health has always been set up to help you when something is already wrong. The wellness program is about helping before that point, and I'll be leading it personally.
The idea is simple. Most of what keeps people out of the doctor's office long term isn't a single visit, it's consistent attention over time. So rather than a one-time consultation, this is built as an ongoing relationship. You'll start with a real conversation about your goals and health history, not a generic checklist, and it branches into whichever focus actually fits you:
- Preventive labs and longevity, for patients who want a clearer picture of where they stand today, covering things like prior bloodwork, family history, and specific health goals, with lab work available through Quest Diagnostics when it's useful.
- Sleep, stress, and general wellness, which includes a short, validated screening for anxiety and depression as part of the intake, so nothing gets missed simply because it wasn't asked about directly.
- Healthy living and coaching, for patients who know what they want to change, activity, eating habits, energy, and want real accountability instead of a one-time recommendation.
If it's a good fit after I personally review your intake, you'll move into an active membership with clear terms up front. From there, we check in monthly through your patient portal, a short conversation about what's changed and how things are going, and I update your plan accordingly. Everything, your original intake, every check-in, and every plan I release, stays available to you in one place so you can see your own progress over time, not just a single snapshot.
For my Colleagues: Ayah Health Solutions
The intake process you go through today when you message us already runs on technology I built myself, because I was frustrated with the tools available to doctors and decided to build my own. What's here now is a more capable version of that same system, and eventually, a version other clinics and telehealth practices can use too.
Here's what it actually does. Instead of a static form, the intake walks you through a real conversation about your symptoms, similar to the history-taking a physician does in person, with follow-up questions tailored to what you tell it. Underneath that conversation sits a safety layer that never depends on AI judgment alone. If anything you describe could indicate a medical emergency, the system stops and tells you plainly to call 911 or get to the nearest emergency room, every time, no exceptions.
On my end, the dashboard I review your intake on organizes everything into a clear chart which helps me gather your information all in one place so I can make quick decisions without getting burdened with documentation and information overload, something much too common in Medicine. I review and approve every recommendation myself, order by order, before anything reaches you. Certain categories are hard-blocked from ever being suggested at all, including anything involving a controlled substance, and anything that conflicts with an allergy you've listed gets flagged for me to look at directly. Nothing about that review process changes. What changes is how much faster and more thorough the groundwork is before I ever open your chart.
I've been using this system in my own practice for a while now with real results, and I'm in the process of turning it into something I can offer to other physicians too, whether they run a physical clinic, a telehealth practice, or an urgent care. More on that as it gets closer to ready.
Why I'm Building Both at Once
These two things might look unrelated at first, one is software, one is a coaching relationship, but they come from the same place. Between urgent care, wellness, and the technology behind both, my goal has always been the same: bring healthcare, prevention, and innovation together under one roof, so patients get excellent care without the runaround.
Neither of these is live yet, and I'd rather tell you what's coming honestly than oversell something before it's ready. In the meantime, if you're in Texas or Florida and need care for something today, that part hasn't changed. You can start a free evaluation right now, and you can read more about how I built all of this and why on the About page.
I'll share more here as both of these get closer to launch.
