Which Maintenance Medications Can Be Refilled Via Telehealth in Texas?

Running out of a routine maintenance medication while waiting weeks for a primary care appointment can lead to dangerous gaps in care. Fortunately, Texas telehealth regulations allow licensed physicians to safely issue non-controlled prescription refills online following an asynchronous clinical review.

Eligible Non-Controlled Categories

Ayah Health provides prescription management for stable, previously diagnosed maintenance conditions, including:

Blood Pressure & Cardiovascular

Lisinopril, Amlodipine, Losartan, Metoprolol, and other routine antihypertensives for stable patients.

Acid Reflux & Gastrointestinal

Omeprazole, Pantoprazole, Famotidine, and related GERD maintenance medications.

Asthma & Respiratory

Albuterol rescue inhalers, fluticasone nasal sprays, and daily maintenance inhaler refills.

Dermatology & Topical

Topical acne treatments, eczema creams, antifungal agents, and medicated ointments.

Strict Exclusions: Controlled Substances

To maintain rigid medical safety standards, Ayah Health does not prescribe DEA Schedule II–V controlled substances under any circumstances.

Non-Eligible Medications Include:

  • Opioid pain medications (Hydrocodone, Oxycodone)
  • Anxiety/Sedative medications (Xanax, Valium)
  • ADHD stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin)
  • Controlled sleep aids (Ambien)

Requests for controlled substances are immediately rejected.
